Andrea Rontini lives in Antella (Bagno a Ripoli) near Florence.
He began his professional career in photographic groups in Florence, going on to win both prizes and accolades in national and international competitions. From 1992, both in Italy and abroad, Andrea has put on his own exhibits of Tuscan landscapes. About his photographic style has been said that .."his succeeds in colouring silence" (E. Gaiotto 1993).In February 2000, he was requested by Minolta to present his photographic work at the Photoshow in Rome. In October 2002, in Belgium, at the 20th FIAP Biennale, he was a member of the Italian contingent of 10 photographers who won the World Cup for Colour Prints. He is frequently published in Italian and foreign photographic magazine and journals. As editor of his own images he has published two books: Toscana Poetica (1999) and La Fotografia del Chianti (2003) displayed at the International Book Fair in Frankfurt in October 2003.
