Mark Hampson is a painter and printmaker who works and lives in London, England. His art is a frenetic mix of objects and characters painted in a vast array of styles, which includes descriptive realism, heavy expressionism, and cartoon bawdiness. He paints wild colorful narratives of personally symbolic events and situations, which are influenced by everything from popular pulp culture, the history of art, fairytales and folklore and everyday trivialities. His work is included in many important public and private collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. |
