Pamela Stockamore

When one views Pamela Stockamore’s paintings one senses these are more about the journey. Each piece takes you somewhere different although every place remains familiar. One can imagine a path not taken another pursued. She takes one path on this one and abandons it on another. This give and take expresses her fluid path to resolution and her complete enjoyment of the process and use of her materials. When asked ‘Why the square?’ she responds “it takes away all reference to the landscape”. In the end these are more about ideas and materials than they are about places or things and Stockamore arrives at resolution completely intact.
